The LMP3 Cup CHAMPIONSHIP
The timing of the Henderson Insurance Brokers LMP3 Cup Championship is perfect. The explosive growth in the LMP3 formula over the last two years has demonstrated the demand for the cars. The championship will be fully endorsed by the ACO and will form an important part of its ladder to Le Mans, taking teams and drivers all the way to the famous 24-hour race.
The price of the cars is impressive, especially when you consider that the spectacular speed of an LMP3 car comes at just a fraction of the price of a GTE car, for the same level of performance. This fits perfectly with Bute Motorsport’s ethos of offering a quality product at a cost effective price. It is anticipated demand will only grow with teams and drivers evaluating their future car purchases as the next generation of GT3 cars become available.
The Henderson Insurance Brokers LMP3 Cup Championship will be for ACO-homologated LMP3 cars, each carrying an ACO-issued technical passport to ensure all cars meet the correct specifications. Drivers will be in pairs, one will be bronze/amateur rated and can be accompanied by a professional driver or a driver of any grading. The championship is specifically targeted at drivers and teams who aspire to compete in international sports car racing, and to ultimately compete at Le Mans.
