Tony Wells and Colin Noble kept their nose clean and produced a dominating drive to take victory in the LMP3 Cup Championship at Spa Francorchamps. After qualifying on pole position in the 50-minute race which was shared with the GT Cup, Wells avoided drama at the first corner and pulled away from the pack, before Noble took over and brought the car home with fastest lap.

Colin Noble and Tony Wells battled to victory in a tense third round of the LMP3 Cup Championship on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Under glorious sunny skies, Noble grabbed the lead with a lightning getaway and neither he nor Tony Wells would surrender the lead for the remainder of the race.

After a victory at Donington Park last time out, Duncan Williams scored a late pole position for race one of the LMP3 Cup Championship at Brands Hatch. In a closely-fought session, there was just 0.6s covering the four runners, and a miniscule 0.013s between Dominic Paul in second and Tony Wells in third place.

Mectech Motorsport took a first LMP3 Cup victory for itself and the Norma M30, in the hands of Bradley Smith and Duncan Williams, at Donington Park. Williams started on pole but fell back to fourth during his stint as he was harried by the fast-starting Johnny Mowlem, Jack Butel, and Andrew Bentley.

It was a debut to remember for Danish driver Christian Olsen, as he came through the field to grab victory and seal a podium lock-out for Nielsen Racing. In the opening LMP3 Cup Championship race of the season at Donington Park dry tyres paid dividends as he took the flag on his second-ever prototype race.
